About

About Chicken Breast Nutrition

An independent, evidence-based reference for one of the world's most consumed protein sources. Free, fast, and free of marketing influence.

Our Mission

Chicken Breast Nutrition exists to provide consumers, athletes, and nutrition professionals with rigorously sourced, science-based information about the nutritional value of chicken. We started this site because the existing online landscape for chicken nutrition data is fragmented, inconsistent, and frequently wrong - recipe blogs cite each other rather than primary sources, and aggregator sites publish auto-generated pages with errors that propagate across the web.

Our goal is to be the single, definitive reference that consumers, athletes, dietitians, and journalists can trust. Every nutrition page is grounded in data from the USDA FoodData Central database, peer-reviewed literature, and official restaurant nutrition disclosures. Every page is reviewed by a credentialed expert before publication.

Editorial Methodology

Our methodology follows five principles designed to ensure accuracy, transparency, and long-term trustworthiness:

  1. Primary sources only. All nutrition data is sourced directly from the USDA FoodData Central database or official restaurant nutrition disclosures. We never cite aggregator sites or secondary sources.
  2. Credential review. Every nutrition page is reviewed by a registered dietitian (RD) or PhD-level nutritional scientist before publication. The reviewer's name and credentials appear on every page.
  3. Explicit serving sizes. All values are reported per 100 g of edible portion unless otherwise noted. We always specify whether weights are raw or cooked, and provide conversions.
  4. Transparent updates. Every page shows its last-updated date. When the underlying USDA data changes, we update the page within 30 days.
  5. No sponsored content. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid placements, or affiliate revenue from supplement companies. Our only revenue stream is contextual display advertising, which is clearly separated from editorial content.
